The work carried out during 2002-2005 by the grant include the CPDT to locate the possible contribution of specific measures or combinations of measures on mobility, land use and planning and their efficiency in reducing emissions GHGs.

The research focuses on the following objectives:

  • Evaluation of measures in management of territory to limit growth of mobility - car (some measures have been evaluated it is: the mix of functions, telecommuting, transportation plans and business school of the basic mobility, reduction of parking spaces in companies, development of roads in favor of alternatives to the car, and organization of freight transportation in town.
  • Evaluation of measures to limit the effects of changing water regimes
  • Evaluation of measures to be planning to improve energy performance

Scientific Goals

  • Evaluation of measures to be planning to limit the growth of mobility - car
  • Evaluation of combinations of measures: input by the logical behavioral
  • Evaluation of combinations of measures: input by government strategies (combinations of measures for mobility across districts)
  • Evaluation of management scenarios to encourage modal shift to alternative car (modal mapping units expected)
  • Estimated emissions of CO2 following scenario planning
  • Evaluation of measures to be planning to improve energy performance
  • Evaluation of measures to limit the effects of changing water regimes

Methodological Objectives

Developing a model for estimating CO2 emissions from transport under different scenarios of land use

Operational objectives

Writing a book in the series "Studies and documents CPDT" entitled "Kyoto Protocol, land use, mobility and planning"
